Let me preface this by saying that I was a loyal Spoodles Belmont customer right up until today, when I went into the store and was informed they don't do sandwiches anymore they are a soup only shop now. I personally feel like this is a huge mistake and they will be alienating almost all of their customers and will be out of business before long. I went in for a soup and sandwich. Could I have gotten just a soup? I guess? But I don't want just soup, I want a sandwich and a soup. The two go hand in hand to me. Really really upsetting, they were the best sandwich joint in town, by far. Now they're just a limited soup menu... Sad day. Price per person: $10–20
Great food, super friendly staff, reasonable prices. It delivers exactly on what it promises and the people who work there clearly take great pride in their work. Edit: even the negative reviews of this place are glowing. If you notice most of the negative ratings tend to be around people upset that the shop limited its menu instead of sacrificing on quality. I only ordered the soups for delivery, but every one of them was quite terrible. The tomato soup tasted like a canned Campbell's soup. The gumbo was way too salty and lacked any other interesting flavors. It definitely needed more spice. The chili also tasted like it was from a can. Overall, the food was a 2 out of 5, while the service was a 4 out of 5.
I absolutely loved the Portuguese sausage and kale soup at this restaurant. It was so delicious that it made me wish I had Portuguese heritage. The owner was very welcoming and seemed to know many of the customers, showing that there is a loyal fan base. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Spoodles was my favorite lunch spot for years. I am so disappointed that spoodles does not serve sandwiches anymore. Please reconsider this decision ASAP before your business is negatively impacted.

I LOVE this place. Best chicken noodle soup ever. The sandwiches are so good too. Love that they have bottled seltzer.
