We chose this place as it had great reviews on yelp and I was very disappointed. It was fairly busy and they did have a list of both specials and regular items. I find cilantro to have a very distinct horrible flavor, so I made it very clear that if the two items I had chosen had cilantro I did not want them. She was kind enough to ask someone else to double check and then made notes in the computer about the cilantro. I chose a crispy rice and strawberry salad and the elotes. My husband ordered the yellow curry dish. Once our meals finally came I realized both of my dishes had cilantro! They did remake the salad, but I didn't realize until too late that that the corn must've had tiny pieces...
Spork was an efficient and convenient place to eat! Walk in, order, and they will direct you where to sit. The cashier kindly asked about any food allergies and if our youngest daughter would like sauce on the side of her rice bowl. Great place for picky young eaters! My daughter was thrilled to basically get plain rice and chicken for dinner. It will probably be her favorite meal on this trip. Haha! I enjoyed the spicy fried chicken, although it was very spicy indeed! Lots of gochujang sauce. My husband enjoyed the furikake potatoes. He said the tacos were just OK. We all loved the giant fortune cookie! Thanks, Spork!
Best restaurant in Bend! We got a shrimp/pork belly rice bowl and a curry. The rice bowl was so good, lots of flavor and comforting. I recommend this dish. The curry was good and was a huge portion. You could share but maybe add an extra portion of rice. The food wasn't greasy and felt very comforting. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who visit Bend. Service was super friendly too. You order at the counter and then you're seated. We tried their non alcoholic drinks, my favorite is the Spice Queen .... You have to get it! They have a small dog friendly patio in the back.
I was unable to locate a single spork in the establishment. Very disappointing. This little transgression forgiven, the restaurant is open, spacious, with seating indoors and outdoors. Either choice offers ample opportunities for people watching and enjoying the choices from the menu. We enjoyed the dinner. I had a curry my bride enjoyed the steak salad. In our tradition we stole a bite from the other... very good flavors! Great combination of Thai spice and sweet along with some Korean nuance. Staff were efficient and friendly. Even though they lack sporks... quite good!
