Springer's Ice Cream

Overrated. Never even heard of this place until my cousin was so excited to bring us here. Way too much food dye in the mint chocolate chip. My daughters whole mouth was green. You could barely taste any of the mint flavor. My husband had the pumpkin ice cream and felt similarly lacking true pumpkin flavor tasted very artificial. Disappointing after all the hype. Edit: I had given 2 stars but after seeing my daughters bright green diaper this morning with a green tinge on her skin have decided 2 stars was too generous. This was definitely a one and done for us. There is simply no need for that much food coloring

I'm glad that Springer’s is open during the off-season. However, I visited last week hoping to enjoy a milkshake, which was advertised on the menu board. I was surprised when the server who attended to me informed me that Springer’s doesn’t offer milkshakes at this time of year! The milkshake mixer was readily available behind the counter, and there were enough servers and preparers present. I assume you have the essential ingredients—ice cream and milk (and possibly vanilla syrup)—on hand. Please continue to offer this delightful ice cream treat!

I absolutely love this place! It's always a must-visit whenever we’re at the shore. While it might not be suitable for someone with allergies, I appreciate that it's a small business with a few options for making ice in separate machines. They offer a wide range of flavors, including my favorite, which is Teaberry—a rare find! I can't believe how they manage to create all of this from such a small building. Just look at the people enjoying their treats. Yum!

Our host talked a bit about this and seemed more excited by the ice cream than the dinner reservation he had made. As the evening came we could see the line growing exponentially as we ate our dinner next door. When I cut into my Maple Walnut, the build-up for once, was matched by the product. I've been visiting Springer's in Stone Harbor for 32 years, and I highly recommend it if you're in the Cape May area. Their ice cream is the best, made fresh within 30 miles! There is often a line, but it moves quickly, and it's definitely worth the wait!

Must have after dinner. Delicious. There are many flavors to choose from and strawberry cheesecake is my favorite. Every time we come to Stone Harbor we visit this great place. Be prepared to wait on line at night but it goes fast and totally worth it.

This might be the best ice I've ever had, or at least one of the closest contenders. The line may seem long, but it moves quickly. The staff inside are friendly and well-informed about the different flavors.

If I could, I would give 10 stars. Springers is the best homemade ice cream I've ever had. Deliciously creamy and well priced. It's a staple for our family every visit to stone harbor. Réservez une table maintenant
