The service at Square Grill Restaurant Piano Bar was good, but the atmosphere felt somewhat confusing. It was hard to tell if they aimed to be a fine dining venue or a casual pub. I started with the falafel and calamari, and both were quite underwhelming—dry and chewy, with the calamari tasting like it had come straight from a frozen bag. For the main course, the experience resembled a kebab shop rather than a restaurant, especially given the higher prices on the menu. It's disappointing because we had high hopes for a better meal. Next time, we'll definitely search for more appealing dining options in Bath.
I was taken aback when I arrived and discovered a guitarist and singer performing quite loudly in the dining area. We were only offered two tables in the same space where the music was playing, which made it challenging to hold a conversation due to the noise. Fortunately, we were eventually relocated to a much better table. While the calamari was just average, the steaks were outstanding, and I highly recommend the smoked mac and cheese. The staff were exceptionally accommodating during our visit.
We had a lovely time at The Square Bar and Grill! Having picked it by luck on this OpenTable website, we are so happy with the food and the service that we will definitely be going back! At first glance the menu can seem a bit on the expensive side, but for the quality of what they're serving, it's 100% worth it.
Good food and great service and really good music! We ate dinner upstairs and it was really nice We then moved into the bar for the live music which was very entertaining! So glad we booked and would highly recommend

The singer there was amazing but it was to loud if you sat near the bar we couldn’t hear the waitress or have a conversation with each other .
Lovely lunch. Food was delicious and service was attentive but not intrusive. Would recommend.
Very welcoming and nice atmosphere. We went at breakfast time and it was very quiet but nice.
The service was exceptional, and everything was delightful. The music was also fantastic.
