Squires Loft - Réservation de table

Had dinner recently at Squires Loft Tooronga, Valentine's Day actually, not for a romantic dinner but just to get out and enjoy a nice time with my partner. We had been to Squires Loft Albert Park not long ago but wanted to go out somewhere closer to home.Huge difference between the two, Tooronga is more open, louder and lighter, less inviting for a relaxing sit back and enjoy your meal type experience . The menu was different, I really enjoyed my slow cooked lamb at Albert Park, but alas, not on the Menu at Tooronga. Our meal was ok, the service was good but it was so very different from our other Squires Loft experience that we felt dissapointed. Our fault really, different location means...

Always had good meals at Squires. The food was excellent as always but it was really ruined by the way it was served. We ordered a salad and mushrooms to start and it seemed to be taking ages to arrive. I said to the waitress to please check on the starters because it appeared as if we would end up without an interval. I said as much to her. Well we got the lot altogether. No time to appreciate the starters as you didn't want the steak to get cold. What a pity because the meat and the flavours are excellent. Dinner was ruined and it was strange as it was a bit of a quiet night.

Very overpriced, very slow service. Sauces and side are dreadful. Dont take children, its so slow. 1 rack rib is $39, full $69. Glass of wine $15. We had 3 mains, 2 drinks cost $195. We waited over an hour and half for our food with kids at 6:30. Sauces made from flour - rancid garlic - awful. Very old fashion have not changed there menu or recipes for 40 years. Very dated menu. Steak was good - small - but served cold - which was unpleasant. Potato was boiled brown and waxy. Sent back could not eat. Horrible. Would never go back

Long alcohol menu followed by 1 page of food. We had the rump steak. Nicely flavoured, great chips, ordered a Greek salad which was fresh. Extra charge for the sauce. Which was ordinary. The beef ribs were very fatty. Charged $10 cake-age for the tablewhich is reasonable. Very attentive service. Ambiance a bit sterile (I think due to the size of the place). Didn't feel the quality matched the over all price. Réservez une table maintenant

I have been here a few times during the year and they always manage to dish up a good steak. Lots of cuts and quality to chose from and good selection of side dishes. Also the wine list has some older wines at reasonable prices. Good for a "mates steak evening".

My $39 steak was average, not melt in the mouth tender which I expected it would be. Way too many chips were served on the plate and I would have preferred the very good vegetables instead. They came as a side serve and were the best part of the meal.

Squires Loft is great for meat lovers and never disappoints. My surf and turf were cooked to perfection and accompanied by excellent chips and pepper sauce. Good service although it wasn't busy. Parking is good so give it a try

When I'm traveling, I like to try out different burgers and steaks because, just like Coke, the taste is not consistent, varying greatly depending on where Réservez une table maintenant
