The best Ukrainian church and cultural center in the State of Illinois and Midwest as well as the center of the Vicariate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. This parish complex has the Cathedral itself, the cultural center, a branch of the Ukrainian credit union, a school of Ukrainian Studies, monuments to the 10 million Victims of Ukrainian Holodomor Genocide of 1932 33 and the commemorative statue to the Heavenly Hundred (Brigade) and Heroes of Ukraine the only ones of its kind in Midwestern USA. It also houses a sizeable Ukrainian cemetery and the home for the elderly in the vicinity. The best example of the classic Ukrainian communal life in North...

I just wanted to write a comment so I really didn't know how to rate this church. I just wanted to say with the invasion of Russia in the past days there are many people trying to be involved and help in some way. There is not one single thing about prayer for your people right now. This website needs to be updated and active with prayer and love for a risen God who saves his people and never fails. People need you right now. Be available to them. And God bless the Ukraine

Been going here for 20+ years but hadn't been in about a year and a half. Cabbage rolls used to be the best around now smaller, mostly rice, no flavor. Very disappointing especially since they now $3 each and if you ask for extra sauce it's another .75 for each cabbage roll. Pierogies happy to say were as good as ever although now if you want the onions with them that's another .75 per dozen. I will go back for the pierogies but not the cabbage rolls.

I my father contributed thousands of dollars to the Ukrainian village and all my siblings including myself got married here, my daughters got baptized here. When I was in a hardship with my Vietnam veteran husband in need of a simple gas card I was turned away. I was only offered pieroges made by volunteers. Shameful
