This place used to be special. They've lost their way. We used to make a point of multi visits every year whilst holidaying in Adelaide. Went again this time. Last chance and you're now done. Staff carry on like you are priviliged to be in their company. Your table order comes out in dribs and drabs. You order and they say "it shouldn't be long" but 40 mins later.... You have to ask for napkins. They don't offer more cutlery if you are sharing. You have to help yourself to water at a trough like farm animals. For the price you should be getting iced water brought to your table. It's plain stingy. Apparently a new chef is the excuse they used for significant changes to the desserts and we...

Very, very, very rude staff. A couple are real sweethearts, thats what makes writing this review bittersweet. But, majority rules. Wait staff stand there delibrately ignoring customers whom are actually willing to pay an absolute ludercrous price to be left waiting & gossiped about or, jokes making fun of their choice of clothing and or expense about their body & choice of desert/Ice Cream. Not something an adult whos Worked hard for in the real world needs from a bunch of 16 yr olds who wouldn't know the definitoon of the word respect if their life depended on it. Coffee is good, but the desserts have gone downhill. Many of the desserts aren't fresh and they stopped serving the great ones they used to. Also, tables are left dirty and staff are often too busy chatting to take your order and instead ask you to step behind a long line at the ice cream area when there is a free register and 3 servers down at the coffee area who can't be bothered. My friend felt like some ice cream for dessert (I'm more a gelato man myself). I tasted the ferrero rocher, the nutella and peanut butter and the coffee flavours. All three flavours were quite okay, but maybe because of my gelato preference I didn't really enjoy them. My friend ordered the tim tam flavour with warm nutella added and which I tasted. This was quite nice.
My partner and I went here for some dessert and were unfortunately very disappointed.We both got waffles as they sounded amazing.The waffles themselves tasted like they were supermarket microwaved waffles, no flavour or fresh crisp.Just nothing at all special about them and i have tasted way better at my local pub.
It wouldn't be fair if I give one or two star only, this is the first time they fail at something... the cafe place was not busy however no effort in puting the candle or in providing the napkins which I had to ask for. Please don't be like the other cafes in the area.
