We had a reservation and at first sat us at a very small wobbly table in the back of the bar area. Asked for a different table and were sat at an equally small table in the front window directly in the sun. Service was very slow. Server forgot about our appetizer. The BBQ shrimp were good. My wife ordered the tuna and the server made sure to ask if med rare was ok. Which it was. However, when it got to our table it was over well done. The Jerk Chicken sandwich tasted fine but the presentation is not great. Instead of a normal chicken breadt it is sliced into several pieces and is impossible to eat normally. Server never refilled our waters and it was 10 minutes at a clip before we would see...
I was so excited to try this restaurant and it had the potential to be amazing, but it wasn’t. The restaurant is laid out in a fun atmosphere, but the employees definitely didn’t go out of their way to make it that way. The food wasn’t great. The steak in the steak tacos was very tough. The Vegetable Cubaniche lacked flavor. On top of that we felt our drinks were pretty weak with little alcohol in them. When we were done eating our appetizer dishes were still on the table. Nothing got cleared off. I had a lot of hope for this restaurant to be fun, festive and flavorful and it fell short.
We took my Cousin for her Birthday outing. Really cute eclectic place. Love the Bar swings and chandeliers. They were a little short staffed when we first got there. We got seated and took a bit, but finally more servers came in and then we were taken care of very well. Our waitress was wonderful and never wrote anything down and got it all right! Even separated our checks for us. The smoked half chicken really stood out as well as the BBQ Shrimp and the Plantain Brule' with ice cream and caramel sauce. We had a very fun time and all enjoyed our food and drinks...
We absolutely loved this restaurant! The swing seats at the bar were adorable and the decor was very unique. I enjoyed looking around and taking in all the interesting details. I had the delicious black bean soup and mango slaw, while my husband tried the Jambalaya and really enjoyed it. We also shared the ribs, gumbo, and paella, all of which were fantastic. For dessert, we had the Tiramisutini, which was amazing. The service was excellent as well.

The service was very poor during our visit to the restaurant. It took a long time to get our first drink order and our second round of drinks arrived after we had finished our meal. Despite the quick delivery of our food order, the food was just average compared to previous visits. We considered canceling our drink order, but our server never returned to check on us. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
Boogaloo is consistently very good. The variety of dishes makes it easy for anyone to find something they like. We loved the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp and sweet cornbread, and the Jerk Chicken Wings. The Jambalaya and Chicken Andouille Gumbo are also delicious, not too spicy. The cocktail menu is outstanding. If you can sit on the swings at the bar, it is even more fun!
I've always loved Boogaloo. Food is great, service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is nice. I love that they have a lot of shareable small plates, so you and your friends can try a lot of different things.
I love the swings at the bar! my eating was delicious especially the ribs (delish) and the bbq sauce! Jambalaya-big garnel, good sausage and grilled chicken-big!

It's like going to the Caribbean for dinner. We enjoyed the rum cocktails, the Cuban and Jamaican entrees and of course the plantains.
The shrimp creole was excellent. I also enjoyed the tilapia encrusted dish on another evening and it was delicious as well.
