Thanks for a great dining experience St. Michael. We were there on a busy Sat night and ordered from the a-la-carte menu. For entree, we shared a Kangaroo Carpaccio and it was unique. For our mains we had the Dorper lamb & the Beef Ribs & Shank. Both dishes were amazing. Portions were not big but the meats were tender and not overcooked(i dont like any red meat over a medium), smoky flavours were evident in both dishes, my jus was nice, dishes were well balanced & the use of elements such as buckwheat for texture kept things interesting, thanks to executive chef Adam Sayles. Pleasant evening but St Michael 6003 didn't give us that wow factor we were expecting. Yes agreed the ambience is nice, staff efficient and food portions appropriate however the taste and flavour were missing from the food combinations. We chose the three course option which is good value however when we dine out we look for that food experience which is going to give us that pleasant surprise. The food combinations worked well however for instance the dorper lamb didn't have the full flavour I was expecting and was over cooked. J'ai dîné ici sur 3 ou 4 fois maintenant et la nourriture est très bonne. La cuisson solidaire et la nourriture vient à un grand rythme. Malheureusement, mon expérience la semaine dernière a été créée par notre serveuse. Elle a constamment plané à côté de notre table qui nous attendait de terminer nos dernières bouchées sur la plupart des cours (debout littéralement sur mon épaule), mais ce qui m'a le plus énervé, c'est que je l'ai dit que ma copine Déteste le fromage bleu alors pourrions-nous peut-être faire le cours de fromage avec peut-être quelque chose d'autre.Elle a procédé à nous dire à quel point les morceaux de fromage étaient et que ma petite amie serait bien. I have dined here on 3 or 4 occasions now and the food is very good.Solid cooking and the food comes at a great pace . Unfortunately my experience last week was soured by our waitress.She constantly hovered beside our table waiting for us to finish our last few bites on most courses ( literally standing over my shoulder) But what annoyed me the most was that I informed her that my girlfriend hates blue cheese so could we maybe do the cheese course with maybe something else.She proceeded to tell us how small the pieces of cheese were and that my girlfriend would be fine.If you detest something it doesn't matter how small it is.

This place is fantastic, seriously recommend you get in here and just do the 3 course menu. Old school ingredients used in a new way. I actually ate Brussel sprouts and wanted more. The panne cotta with Rhubarb - wow. Sensational presentation top shelf small plates that give you a great taste of everything. Share with your mates....

Excellente cuisine, menu bien équilibré, bonne sélection de vin, service impeccable avec descriptions détaillées du plat. Nous avons aimé voir des carottes cuites de nombreuses manières. La viande était une partie des plus tentatives que j'ai eues.
