Stadtlokal Forchheim

for quite a while I used to be a regular with a group of friends there. I alsways liked it there. Very nice staff, good (local) food and reasonable prices. Due to circunstances we moved our location and I had not been there for a...while. When I went the last I was a bit disappointed. The menue seem quite reduced but what bothered me was, that the size of the helpings were also quite reduced. Unlike the prices. The quality was basically still good, but they served the Schnitzel only with potatoe salad. Roasted potatoes as they used to have were not available anymore. Also the size ..... Most of Forchheim restaurants have their rest day on Mondays, so we tried here. No menu posted on the outside wall, and there seems to be or operations going on inside, the beerstube, a restaurant, and something else. There were menus on the...little table inside the door, and the short list of food looked good, so we went in and found a seat. Fair number of groups inside already, other sets I think, about filled the place up. Very nice staff who spoke English service was quick. Beer was good, of course. Schnitzel was big, all portions good sized, and tasty. Sat inside because it was the one cold rainy day in July! Would go back.

The Stadtlockal is right in the middle in the pedestrian area of Forchheim. The food is ok, good beers as everywhere around here, but nothing special. What makes it an attraction to some people is, that the offer Sky TV in their back room, the...only place in the inner city where you can see soccer matches of the Division in Germany live then at mosphere is great, especially if the bavarian teams are winning

the location is swell, you get to sit next to the Bächla (the little stream which enlivens the pedestrian area) if you decide to eat outdoors. The food is good and ample, the beer... well, I guess the owners do not get a choice ......is soso. You won´t go home hungry : I recommend this place more for the location than for fancy food. Food is good, typical german fair. I would not say the food is the best I have had in the town but certain not bad at all. limited seating, nice staff. Decent selection of beer. You have to walk to this restaurant due to where...it is located. Worth a stop to check it out and try to read all the old saying on the walls

This restaurant offers a nice variety of your German favorites. I tend to eat here often when in Forchheim on business. They offer good service, nice selection, and at a fair price. Nothing over the top and just what you'd expect from a good local...German restaurant.

A good and typical german beerstube without any fancy menu. What you see is what you get and what you get is a good piece of meat with some bake potato's. We got a giant schnitzel for just euro's.

This restaurant is extremely well maintained and old. The food and the service are excellent. Try the chicken and the pork. The beer too is excellent....especially the Simona variety. Réservez une table maintenant

We discovered this lovely restaurant by accident and had a great time! The service was very nice and the food, Schäufele simply wonderful! Go inside and experience!

One of the best guest houses in the region. Good food, excellent service and kitchen staff that can be with guests!
