Stag And Thistle Restaurant And Bar

I came here for my grans 85th birthday. We were using the upstairs room. The upstairs bar could barely be called a bar. There was a single lager on draught and no beer. There were no soft drink on the draught system. After noting out disappointment, the staff popped over to a shop across the road and brought back cans of John Smith s. Then proceeded to charge us £4 for a can! They eventually relented and changed it to £3. But the experience was one of the worst and we've been to a few venues in the area.

We were at the stag thistle for afternoon tea and it was brilliant. The place is lovely and cosey. The sandwiches and cakes were so good. All fresh. The service from the staff was great, very funny and friendly. We got all the cakes we didn't manage to finish away with us in a box. If recommend and will be back.

First time here and would 100% recommend a visit if your ever in Kilmaurs. Paul, Donna and Alana were amazing and so friendly, the food was great as well. Paul was fantastic at the drinks! Every drink looked and tasted amazing. Thanks for having us guys! We will definitely be back.

Dining at this restaurant is incredible! I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff are also wonderful, very friendly, and seem to genuinely love what they do. The cocktail menu is also outstanding. I can't wait to come back next time. Réservez une table maintenant

I was so impressed with this restaurant. The menu was excellent and the service was really great. The only downside was the terrible toilets, but don't let that deter you. You won't be disappointed with the food. Overall, it's great value for money.

Never had anything less than perfect service in here. The food is excellent and the staff take pride in what they do. Cajun crêpes are half price on a Monday, but I'd eat them any day of the week. 100% recommended.

Eating was great. very cheap. drink is not expensive either. we sat in the outside huts. it was totally worth it, an amazing night. just don't forget their registercard. will definitely be back.
