Star Rose Garden Restaurant

Monday afternoon and this was the only Asian restaurant that I could find open in Welland. Wasn't my first choice due to my location and heard the business had changed hands. Previous owners had a great business and at the time I had lived closer. Ordered take out yesterday for 8 of us getting together. It was ready at time I needed it and there were 4 other customers waiting on take out. Also they gave 10% discount for take out. Sat down to dine with my friends and we all thought it was delicious and could not believe the amount of food that was provided. I believe we could have fed another 3 diners. We have passed this restaurant for years and never gave it a second thought. We decided to try it for takeout and were very happy with the results. The inside is dated but it seems to be clean. The food was good and the portions were generous. Service wasn't overly friendly but it was fast and efficient. There is a small parking lot at the back, but most people seem to park in front on East Main or along Patterson Avenue.

We usually order here for delivery but we went in tonight and it was the best Chinese ever. The portions were massive and when it came out it was steaming hot. Even though their sons help out with taking orders and such I gotta say they are the best waiters I've ever had. And the owners themselves are so nice I couldn't believe it. We will definitely be going back!

This used to be the best Chinese restaurant in welland. New owners for a couple of years. Ate there a few times but very disappointed. Not much flavour. Very bland.

purchased take out dinner for 2 or 3 many times. food is decent but not the best in area but you can feed at least 3 adults with a dinner for two
