New Star Thai is located in a food court within GW Supermarket center on Garvey Ave. They have pretty good Thai dishes. Our go-to items are Pad Sewe with fried tofu or shrimp, Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen with seafood, sometimes we get their curry dishes... they have a very good beef salad, too, but I don't eat beef anymore so I don't order that anymore. Everything is so good, prices are very reasonable, portions are big... you can't beat it. We don't live in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) area so New Star Thai is pretty much the only Thai place we order Thai food from when we're out in SGV otherwise we visit Sanamluang Thai Cuisine in Montclair... they are the very best Thai I've ever had. Want authentic Thai food without breaking the bank? Come here. Their prices have barely increased but the quality and quantity remained the same. I usually get their chicken pad thai, boat noodles, crispy pork w/ broccoli, and pad see ew. They all taste great for the price! There may be better Thai places, but this one is the closest to me and I like their food. I'm sure their other food are just as great (tom yum soup and curry is legit here as well). If you want more authenticity, ask for Thai spicy. You don't wait long for your food, they're quick in prep and will ring the bell to let you know. I love coming here for a quick bite or to-go. A hole in the wall. It's inside the supermarket at the food court and cash only. Good and flavorful food for a good price. However, some dishes might have a lot more of the vegetables and seasonings/herbs than the main portion of the dish. For example, the catfish soup was delicious but most of it was large chunks of herbs and catfish bones.

I was in the area. And I figure I give this place a try. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai Thai Tea. It was okay. Price was fair. I believe Pad Thai should be served with white meat not brown meat : . A kid helped me. And definitely needs improvement on his greeting skills! Good luck y'all

I love thai boat and my kids always likes they thai fried rice , so delicious the price is so reasonable , also don't forget thai tea so cheap and taste good
