To order from Starbucks, you initially wait on the right side of the road, but you have to switch to the left side to reach the order kiosk. Conversely, ATM users begin their line on the left but must move over to the right to exit, leading to a lot of confusion as the lines intersect. Since I’m not familiar with the Glen Cove area, I found this particularly challenging, especially as I had never encountered a drive-thru Starbucks that didn’t have its own separate entrance. To make matters worse, the customer who yelled at me wasn’t even paying attention when there was space next to the Starbucks speaker for her car to move up. I waited 40 minutes for my food! Seriously?! I overheard the staff saying it takes a while to heat up the food, which I can understand. But 40 minutes for egg bites? By the time they were ready, they didn’t even call out our name. I had to check six times to see if our order was ready, and finally, it was just sitting there. This used to be my go-to Starbucks because of its location, and I was usually okay with delays when the place was busy. But 40 MINUTES is unacceptable. They did ask us about our drinks, but by the time we got our food, we were almost finished with them. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I probably won’t be returning.
