The Starbucks in Franklin Lakes typically offers good service, especially when compared to the one in Oakland. However, my experience today was quite disappointing. I ordered online and went in to pick it up, but I ended up waiting nearly 10 minutes without any assistance. There were two employees behind the counter, and although another customer was also waiting, they didn’t seem to help him either. During my wait, no one acknowledged my presence at all. One of the staff members prepared a drink, set it aside, and then started cleaning instead of helping customers. Eventually, the other employee finished his drink and assisted a new customer who had just walked in before finally coming over...
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I work in North Haledon and typically go to Starbucks in Wayne, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem just five minutes away. I love that it’s situated in the same plaza as Playa Bowls and Market Basket, and there's even a Chase Bank nearby! The location is perfect. Additionally, the barista was incredibly friendly and made my oatmeal with steamed almond milk—a wonderful twist! The staff is very welcoming, and I also think it's a great idea that they have a "Customer of the Month" program.
The restroom is not available for public use?! I saw three baristas at the counter just standing there. On a positive note, the service was polite and prompt. However, if you need to use the restroom while in Franklin Lakes, your only options are to head home or search for a nearby gas station.
