Honestly, the staff and customer service here are excellent. They really try their best, but the chaos caused by the large number of customers is overwhelming. Drinks often come out incorrect and seem watered down. The number of substitutions they have to make due to running out of certain ingredients is quite amusing. I want to clarify that this isn’t a reflection of the staff’s capabilities or a specific fault of anyone; it seems that this establishment simply can't handle the volume of guests from the Sheraton Hotel. This review is mainly about my desire for a good cup of coffee, and if I were you, I would consider going somewhere else.
Starbucks has a full shop in the lobby of the Sheraton Grand. Being open at 6am was perfect timing so I could eat something substantial before an early meeting at the nearby convention center. My coffee preference, a Red Eye was perfectly made. A turkey, pesto, and red pepper sandwich on ciabatta bread was a good size and warmed before serving. A chocolate croissant was nice and flaky. An accompanying shop sold travel mugs, cups, and a variety of beverages. In short, this shop combined convenience and good taste.
Checked into the hotel and was starving so went for a matcha tea latte and egg sandwich. They messed up both my orders, gave me a mocha latte and egg sandwich had no cheese. Seriously how can u mess up a SBX order when there is no rush or anything. The food still tasted good but it was not what I ordered. Will go back but come on, matcha n mocha don’t even sound the same, lol.
Stephen and Antonella were absolutely amazing! Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care turned a simple coffee stop into a truly wonderful experience. They are incredibly professional, attentive, and simply adorable. Starbucks is lucky to have them, and I truly hope they get the recognition and growth opportunities they deserve. Highly recommended! I experienced extremely poor customer service at this Starbucks location. Natalie incorrectly accused me of stealing an item, handled the situation unprofessionally, and made no effort to apologize or correct her mistake once it was clear she was wrong. The interaction felt dismissive and accusatory, and left me uncomfortable as a customer.
The restaurant does not accept cash, which is surprising given that it caters to international visitors. It's important to accommodate cash payments! Additionally, not accepting cash creates a barrier for those who may be financially disadvantaged, making it difficult for them to make purchases. Welcome to America!
