State Street Diner

We got here at 9:00am on a Sunday and had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated (they are very busy on weekends, so it would be best to visit on weekdays), but the staff worked very fast to get us a table! Our server was very nice and helped us feel comfortable. It was a long wait before we got the food about an hour but we were a party of seven people. However, the food justified the wait time! Everything was high praise worthy and we especially enjoyed the Reuben Sandwich, and the Spinach and Mushroom with Cheese Omlette! My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we both enjoyed the food. Their biscuits and gravy were delicious as was the florentine benedict. It was fresh and delicious but did not leave us feeling like we overdid it. I also loved the atmosphere it gave me a small town feel. Friendly and kind staff, excellent service.

Used to come all the time but the service was getting really slow. Thought it was because of all the takeout orders during Covid. Decided to give it another shot. The diner was not very busy and the food still took over an hour to get to the table. Food was good, but not worth waiting that long

After visiting the Kane County Flea Market, we popped in for lunch for breakfast (bacon cheeseburger and BLT club). Quaint little place with huge beverages and delicious, fresh food. All of the servers were friendly and so hard working. We can't wait to come back! Réservez une table maintenant
