Just ate there this evening. I ordered the 300g Filet cooked to medium as recommended by our server when I described how I wanted it. It was cooked as a true medium rare is in the United States a thick stripe of red through the center. This piece of meat was the size of a baseball and tasted amazing. In my 61 years of life, I will say that this was in the top 2% of all steaks I've ever had. Small but excellent restaurant in the center of Mainz. Excellent atmosphere, superb food. Reasonable priced wine selection. Food excellent. Strongly recommend the New Zealand Lamb go for the 300g, you won't regret. Salad all fresh and tasty vegetables are pretty good recommend dressing (orange vinaigrette) on the side Be back again this Wednesday.
