Steakhaus El Rancho

This was the first restaurant we visited during our 16 day visit to Germany and though we are from Texas and expecting our host and hostess to take us to a German restaurant, we were very pleased they opted instead for their favorite restaurant in Siegen, El Rancho. The Texas decor made us feel at home. The salad bar had a wide variety of fresh items, the small filet was huge, so juicy and tender, and the wine wonderful! A very scrumptious meal for 2 weary and starving travelers just off an international flight.

Been here in early evening, the restaurant was already almost full, the meat it is really good and cooked almost perfectly; my rating should be a 4.5, the meat it is definetly a 5, the same goes for the atmosphere, but the side doshes and the service kinda miss something amd makw everything less enjoyable, still a really good restaurant

Been a few times and always impressed with the quality and preparation of our meal, but the atmosphere feels a bit dated. Also, ordering from a menu with numbers, seems to lessen the sophistication factor. Otherwise...you can't go wrong.

Maybe the best stake in town. Very kind service and local schnaps was nice extra. Salad and fresh bread included.
