Our ship sheltered in Emden, so our crew decided to walk up town for some dinner onshore. One of our party had been to Hacienda before and suggested it. We had a very nice meal, felt very welcome and there was a good atmosphere. I think it is a Croatian theme restaurant. Seats were not to close together, didn 't feel crowded, waiter was attentive and gave good suggestions for menu and wine. We had one vegetarian, who I believe had a fish dish, and a Ketogenic food planner, who adjusted his meal to have no french fries, but offered extra vegetables. Went here for a late Tuesday dinner, place was not full but there were quite some people. Parking is a disaster, almost no room in front of the place. Ambiance is nice and staff well dressed and helpful. Ordered a steak menu, came with salad (little too much dressing), nice steak (not the best, just good), garlic bread (good piece) and baked potato with sour cream (lot's of sour cream, nice. Waiting time was around 15-20 minutes (i was alone so it came quick). For northern Germany the price was not low at all, but it was Ok.
I was in Emden for one night on business, searched for a place to have dinner and found this steakhouse, I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was very friendly, the waiters were fast and the food very good. I served the house specialty, the Queen Elizabeth. The portion was sizable, and the steak was served as i ordered it, medium rare. Also the sides were varied and tasty. One important aspect for me is that i was able to pay with American Express. I strongly recommend.
An excellent choice of venue, we went in early evening and the restaurant quickly filled with guests, the menu was extensive and the two dishes we had were both excellent. Service was very quick and the staff friendly ,well worth a visit Réservez une table maintenant
