Stefano's is a wood burning pizza restaurant tucked in the corner of a busy shopping mall. Fortunately, there is plenty of parking by the actual restaurant. The interior atmosphere and ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or lunch. The lights are dimmed and the restaurant feels very warm and inviting. The pizza was alright, but I expected better. The plain slice had good cheese and a thin, flavorful base and crust, but was lacking in the sauce department. The margherita slice seemed overseasoned to me, which should be unnecessary if you have a tasty sauce and quality basil. When we came here on a Monday night shortly before Christmas, the place was packed! We quickly figured out why: the atmosphere was cozy, the decorations were cute, the waiters were friendly, and the food was delicious. Our only complaint was that the food was too expensive. We ordered the El Diavolo pizza, and it definitely lived up to its name it was devilishly spicy but yummy, with crispy crust and gooey mozzarella. The garlic knots were also very good. We skimped on getting sangrias because our bill was already through the roof. I'll be sure to return in the summer to see the outdoor pizza oven in action.
