We were there for coffee small lunch. The waitress offered us to try their homemade kimchi. We had sweet desserts which didn’t really fit with the kimchi and said we’re not interested. After her insisting we try it, we got a tiny portion which they tried to charge us for in the end (and I didn’t agree to pay). scrolling through some of the comments here make me realize they do it regularly there, so I’ll skip the next visit. Beware of the kimchi scam!
Don't be fooled by the announced open hours no food will be served to you before 11:30AM, even not a basic affogato dessert consisting of an espresso shot and ice cream from their fridge. The only thing available before 11:30AM basic drinks on the menu, which is neither extensive not inspiring in this part. The coffee, though, is good. The milk used for the cappuccino tasted like UHT Ultra High temeperature) one. A disappointment, unfortunately :
Casual dining with Arnold's on July 28, 2022. What is celebrated here is great. Every course is a new taste experience, presented at the table by the chefs down to the smallest detail. The service leaves nothing to be desired and dining casually in the garden becomes an “unforgettable experience”. This is top-class gastronomy.
Das Lokal ist sehr schön, und auch draussen unter den alten Bäumen ist es gemütlich. Die Karte ist klein und unspektakulär, passend für ein Bistro. Die Qualität des Essens ist ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber die Wartezeiten etwas gar lang. Die Preise sind angemessen. Réservez une table maintenant
What should a lunch break be like? Cozy and inviting atmosphere, delicious and soothing food and good company. The Steinhalle restaurant fulfills the first two points with flying colors, and I'm happy to take care of the third point myself. With that in mind: see you next time.
Cozy spot under old trees, easily accessible by public transport but hardly justifies the price of Fr. 9.50 for a small bottle of Japanese beer, which you also have to order yourself at the bar and pay for in advance... Unfortunately, no draft beer available.
A lovely outside terrace for a very warm summer lunch, the easy menu was small but nicely balanced and afforded something for everyone. Service was prompt and extremely courteous allowing us an unhurried hour to complete our meal.
Die Karte der Steinhalle ist klein aber fein. Das schöne Ambiente in den alten Mauern des Historischen Museums lädt zu einem gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden ein. Sehr empfehlenswert ist die Auswahl an Tatar. Réservez une table maintenant
