I was looking for a place with really good roasted chicken since I went to this area 5 years ago After mentioning it last week, a friend told me that Steve's family Diner was known for her fried chicken. Today a group of us was in this exact area. So we went in. The restaurant parking was packed at 12 a.m., which we all had a good sign when walking into the facility it was surprisingly large compared to what you expected to be from outside. Getting a table for 5 was no problem that we actually had 3 of I ordered the fried chicken as my lunch along with potatoes and gravy. 2 other members of my party also ordered fried chicken, the remaining 2 had land fried steak and the other grilled pig sh...
I admit that I had no high expectations in; but I was pleasantly surprised! The decor is very simple and old looking, but we were greeted by smiling faces and that means a lot to me. The menu is super basic, especially for a vegan like me. I go to breakfast or is hashbrowns and beautified veggies, so what I ordered is except houseries instead of regular hashbrowns. The vegetables were on the point: it was obvious that they were fresh vegetables (not frozen) and perfectly cooked! The same with the local frits that were perfectly cooked! Steves is one of those inconceivable places that seem like a hole in the wall that is not worth the stop. But that would be offensive and wrong. Steve is definitely worth the stop. Service and food were great, and Steve is on site to monitor and interact with customers who are always a beautiful family feeling. I had a patty melt and pommes and it was made perfection. The perfect toast for rye bread with the great pattie inside. My father had the rubies, although he was hesitant about the herb. When it came out, he was impressed by the meat and meat ratio and even praised the waitress. Said it was one of the best he had. My son got the Philly and said it was good. Will definitely be back.
Very cozy. More for an older crowd, but that's why it was perfect for taking my 64 year old dad out to lunch. The fried chicken there is sooo good! Best ever had maby. Way better than Publix or KFC. it tastes homemade and is so crispy! This place had great service and would have gotten 5 stars if my dad didn't think the veggies tasted canned. I had some yummy cinnamon applesauce! They also have yummy looking deserts like cakes and pies and cheesecakes. Réservez une table maintenant
A neat little unassuming diner featuring a full menu of breakfast (until noon), lunch, and dinner classics with generous portions and unexpectedly low prices. The food was very good and the service most excellent. Amazing fresh bread is served with dinner. I also enjoyed the Tiffany-style lamps hanging over the booths.
Good American food and people. My steak was cooked to perfection and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Yum! The helpings were great and Fresh bread to boot. Took home the Baklava cheese cake and tried a small taste and it was rich and good. Service was great to but go early for a seat. Will go back for sure .
