This chip shop is local to me and Ive visited it infrequently perhaps over the last 35 yrs. Its always had a good name for chips and the manner in which they are cooked. Cleanliness is above outstanding. It gleams of a caring service. Ive stood in the queue with people who have travelled quite a few miles to get their chips here. We are a bit blessed with a few good chip shops in our town. Tobins in town is superb and there is another good one by Baglan Shopping center. In work last week a few of us were talking about the best chippies in the area and this and Beales in Porthcawl were considered the common best . By far the best chips in Port Talbot, have been here religiously when returning back home. Never had a bad batch of chips, also the home made curries are incredible! Full of flavour, not for the light hearted. Fish is always a good size with not too much batter. Staff are always brilliant and always make the short wait more enjoyable with their witty banter.
I always favor the freshly cooked fish bites at this restaurant. The meal includes 5 or 6 generous pieces of fresh fish served with fantastic chips. I also highly recommend trying the Faggots and Peas. Just make sure to remind the server to add Vinegar and Salt to your food, in that order!
A regular here , the quality and service is top notch , we have to drive to get here which gives a clue as to if it's worth traveling for its got to be good. Fish is freshly dipped in batter and cooked to order. Actually thinking of a visit later as my mouth is now watering : Réservez une table maintenant
