I've been to STK at night and enjoyed it. So for my husband's (53rd) birthday I decided to give their brunch a try. Their brunch has been advertised on social media lately. Overall, I was disappointed. What I did like: Although we are in the midst of a pandemic (Covid) the restaurant was NOT crowded. When we arrived, there was no one there. We were the first group (there were 6 of us). I noticed the tables were separated and everyone (servers/hosts) wore masks. We feltsafe, although I will argue you can get Covid it seems anywhere, regardless of your vaccination status. We were greeted immediately. Once we placed our order, it took a minute to receive our meals. It was a good thing we hadn't seen eachother for awhile, so we were able to catch up while sipping tasty **** Marys and Mimosas. There was some music and later a DJ. When the food arrived, it looked great. Unfortunately, with the exception of mine (which was lukewarm versussuper hot), our food was chilly. Like it had been sitting in the window waiting on a runner. This is concerning since we had been waiting and the restaurant wasn't crowded. There may have been 6 tables (socially distanced) at this point.Again, it was very disappointing, especially for a restaurant at this price point. Not to mention our orders weren't complicated. Don't get me wrong, my Lobster Benedict was warm and tasty, but the others complained that the food was cold. One ventured to send it back (French toast), while the others simply carried on. What I will say is that the manager did come over and make it right by giving us a discount. This aspect of customer service was outstanding and woulddefinitely make me consider trying the STK Brunch again. *Note, the atmosphere at night is better than during the day. Doesn't everything look better with neon lighting and candles?
