Our table had the rib eye cutlet, pork and chicken and each person was happy with their meal. Most of us had apple crumble for dessert and that was very nice. The service was polite and friendly. There were not many people in the restaurant which made it feel like we waited some time for our meals. However when taking into account there were lots of trays going out the door for room service orders so the wait was understandable (but if you didn't see that you would definitely be wondering what the staff are doing). We visited Stock Kitchen & Bar for the first time and was very underwhelmed from both the atmosphere and food. The feel of the place was not very inviting, its a hotel breakfast area not a warm, pleasant area that feels like a evening eatery, the lighting was also way too bright. The descriptions on the menu to what you actually got on the plate was very poor and the quantity of highlighted ingredient was very lacking. I didnt get a stuff duck breast and ther was no hot smoked chicken. The portion size of the Poachers Pantry Plate for $22 was extremely over priced for what was served. Very good food and ambient.I really enjoyed the dinner. My absolute favourite dish was the beef steak, tender and perfectly cooked. Good wines selection and excellent coffee, I had an espresso and was divine.Great service, the staff is very attentive and prepared. I asked about my wine (a Shiraz) and the description they gave me was absolutely correct. I will definitely recommend this place for a dinner with friends.I'll certainly return very soon.Grazie
My husband and I had dinner at the Stock Kitchen & Bar earlier tonight and the food was amazing. The best and most tender calamari we have ever had and the mains we had were also amazing. We would certainly recommend this restaurant if you want good food with friendly staff. The service we received was excellent. We would like to thank the staff for a very good dining experience.

After a long drive from Sydney we decided not to go out but have dinner at Stock in the Mantra Hotel. The food was very tasty and came out quickly. Nice restaurant - one complaint is that there a few business men standing at the bar drinking and blocking access - Stock is not really large. Maybe a different area could be set aside for non diners.
Geat meal, reasonably priced and service was welcoming and happy. We went with a Groupon as we were also staying at motel. The meal was beautiful. They also had glasses of wine and beer at special prices on board.
Good variety, friendly staff always restocking food ,they have all the hot and cold breakfast foods you would want. French toast yummy! we will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Canberra
Looks like a cafe but the food at dinner was very good. The wine list is not very extensive, 1 page actually, but it was sufficient. The Pork was very nice. Service was attentive.

Food was very good. Staff were attentive, but not in your face. Wine was very good. Just missing good company. Nice place with quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I'll eat here again.
