The staff at the front desk are friendly, so I gave them a star. I have stayed here often for work, but if it were up to me, I would never stay here again. The floors are never cleaned and they are lucky if the beds are changed at check-in. There was a time when I mentioned to the staff that there was blood on the back of the bathroom door in one of the rooms I stayed in. After almost a year of being unemployed, I returned to find that the blood smear was still there. This is unacceptable, especially in the context of preventing COVID-19. I had to clean it myself with a face cloth and water, which was disgusting. Currently, they are undergoing renovations and used to offer a great free break...
This hotel is absolutely terrible. I stayed here for work in FSJ and I was completely disappointed. The cleanliness is a major issue as they never vacuum the floors or carpets and only do a half-hearted job of cleaning the rooms. There is also a lack of sanitation. I was even blocked from the hotel lobby three times in -20 weather. The continental breakfast was disgusting. The satellite TV did not work well, with the video and audio cutting in and out constantly. The internet and printer in the lobby also did not work. Overall, my experience was awful and I will not be returning. The management and staff need to step up their game or they will continue to lose business.
People fighting in the rooms and parking lot. I could hear people up all night coughing. The pillows are very old and worn out as are the bed mattresses. The towels are disgusting and have been used thousands of times they should be replaced. The hotel hallway is disgusting. The paint is peeling away from the outside doors. I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean safe place to stay
This restaurant serves a pre-packaged breakfast with limited options. I would have preferred a hot continental breakfast instead. The toiletries provided caused skin irritation. The heater was constantly running and there were leftover food in the refrigerator. The cleaning staff frequently missed spots on the beds.
We stayed 1st out of 3 nights we spent in FSJ. We checked out after first night as it wasn’t clean. It’s better to spend extra $25 and stay at the newer hotels in town.If you’ve decided to stay here regardless make sure your keep an eye on your fingers while opening the washroom door from inside.
The noise coming from both the A/C unit and the mini fridge is absolutely not acceptable. It's SO loud. Free breakfast is good with a large assortment to choose from, friendly lady who was running it. I didn't see any front desk staff for the duration of my stay so I can't comment on that.
