On arrival we were gruffly told that there were no available tables apart from on the terrace but if it were to start raining we’d have nowhere to go. Nonetheless we took a table outside, under the awning. So far , so good although we...were slightly taken aback by the tone we had been addressed with. Sure enough a wind sprung up and we were rudely shouted to go inside. ‘Jetzt, schneller’ …. . Now all of a sudden there appeared to be several tables available indoors. Needless to say, we paid for our drinks and left, subsequently enjoying a lovely meal elsewhere. This seems to be a place where there is no need at all to value customers. We travelled from Thun to Iseltwald to see the gorgeous scenery. We were hoping to see the castle like building featured in many of the photos of the region but we were unable to get through as many roads were private or gated. Regardless it...is a beautiful spot and luckily it was a nice day so we found a restaurant with a view. We found the location to be perfect and the service to be friendly and attentive. We ordered snails, and wienerschnitzel and a veal and spaghetti dish. All the food was great and the bread and herbed butter was wonderful. We ordered the house white wine and it was great. Highly recommend.
Wir wurden im Strandhotel von der Eigentümerin sehr herzlich empfangen es folgte ein sehr sauberes Zimmer mit seeblick mehr seeblick geht nicht.das nachtessen war sehr gut . Wir wurden von einer Sehr freundlichen Bedienung bedient... 4 Flaschen spiezer Wein am Ende . Morgen geht unsere Tour weiter.wir sind sehr froh im Strandhotel eingekehrt zu haben. Wir empfehlen es zu100 Prozent weiter. Linda war sehr nett. Bis bald
we went there to eat good food and to eat for the purpose. we ordered fish as it is their specificity and it was great. the staff went beyond and beyond we missed the last train. brand helped us find a taxi and call our Airbnb host. because we have not spoken in German. very appreciated. we are coming back!

Posizione magnifica su un promontorio (credo originariamente un'isola) che si affaccia sul lago di Brienz, a due passi da Interlaken. Ristorante agiato ma non carissimo. Consiglio i piatti di pesce, per esempio cucinato alla mugnaia. Ottimi i dessert e buono persino l'espresso.
Mit meinem Mann konnte ich ein feines Mittagessen geniessen! Die Terrasse hat eine wunderschöne Lage direkt zum See.Der Kellner war super nett. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant. Das Hotel können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir nicht übernachtet haben
Wir waren binnen drei tagen zweimal dort. Beide male sehr gut gegessen, jedesmal hatten wir ausgezeichnete Bedienung. Die Lage ist sehr schön direkt am Schiffsanleger mit bester Sicht auf den Brienzer See. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wij hebben een half pension hotel arrangement gehad.het diner bestond uit 4 gangen die precies goed zijn. na het diner een voldaan maar zeker geen overeten gevoel gehad.
Lovely spot for a meal next to Lake Brienz. A little pricey (most mains were 30-35 CHF) but really good quality food, worth the price and excellent service.
