A friends catchup so in no particular rush. Ordered the food and drinks on the app, a good 10 minutes in our two cokes hasn’t arrived. Checked with the bar staff, although she was in the middle of an order they wasn’t busy, looked at me with such audacity it made me laugh to which she said I’ll check no apology. Then the food arrived after 15mins chips over cooked and hollow, still no drinks went and asked again where they were to be told she was still serving- though evidently not me and my app order. On last minute holiday, read reviews for local places to eat (that we felt were suitable for family, inc young adult with autism and tourettes) and Strawberry Gardens seemed suitable. Very quiet on arrival (Tuesday at approx 2pm), staff very friendly and polite. Meals were perfect and delicious orders included 2 medium rare steaks, gammon and the best pie ever ordered. The only negatives were a VERY strong chemical smell plug in freshener/spray throughout and tables not thoroughly cleaned from previous customers (sticky and peas etc left on tables). Without these 2 aspects, would have been 5 star
Came into the pub with my friend around 17:00 on Saturday evening yes the pub was busy but the bar itself seemed quiet. We waited at the bar the two staff serving failed to acknowledge us. We waited a good 10 minutes before actually being served by the female with shorter hair who was polite apologised for the wait, however the female with red hair walked past us severel times still not acknowledging us she appeared to serve people who came to the bar after us. Both staff seemed very disinterested wasn't providing the usual welcoming friendly servive the staff at the strawberry seem to offer.
28 of us for a family meal on what was already a very busy Friday night with a full pub and eating area and we had a fantastic night. All our food came out together, all hot, nothing missing and that was all three courses. The food tastes great but is exceptional value. The staff were absolutely brilliant and even had the names people’s food to make it easier as they came out. The night finished with some cracking karaoke. Great for a big group for a meal, for a family and then entertainment till late on a Friday. Highly recommend!

The pub has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. However, the men's restroom has a strong odor of urine. This issue has not been as noticeable in previous visits, but if it is not resolved I may not return.
We have just had a lovely Sunday Dinner in the Strawberry Gardens and what stood out for us was the outstanding service delivered by Zoe, she is a credit to the pub and was truly customer focused … well done Zoe xx
We visit quite often and we're never disappointed. Food is very nice and the staff are lovely. The pub looks so pretty for Christmas. We have a festive fayre booked next, looking forward to it!
Came for food and drinks on Friday night the pub was busy the atmosphere was great karaoke was on the food was lovely would defo recommend if u fancy a few drinks n food with friends and family

Couldn't be bothered to cook so perfect for a casual meal for two. We enjoyed our burgers in the beer garden with a nice cold beer in the sunshine. Food was hot and staff were friendly.
