We found this restaurant a bit by chance as we saw the menu while walking along the main road. The selection of fish was what attracted us, and it (Scampi and Scallop Skewer, Tuna Tagliatelle and seafood open Ravioli) was excellent as the Grison barley soup, and the wine list has some great wines. We stayed in Pontresina for three nights, and we ate here in the first night, and after the attempt somewhere else in the second night, we could not resist again in our last night. This time we even tried some meat, a perfectly cooked Guinea Fowl, as well as some monks, and more barley soup. Will definitely go back when we're in Pontresina.
Booked table two days in advance for a family dinner. We showed up a little earlier, but our table was ready at the time. Good menu maybe a bit too wide with mix of traditional cuisine and international dishes. For large soup as appetizers, the nettle and goat cheese are awarded and the castle briand as the main. Beef quality was premium and perfect cooking time. An appropriate selection of wines and very good with children. Service at the table deserves a special note: attention to details and professionalism at the level of a large restaurant. Absolutely try.
Restaurant has beautiful ambience, chalet style. There were only a few people, we reserved. Service was nice. But I think the restaurant is not on the price they ask. My meat was dry, portions were small. And it's just expensive. 15 pieces for bottle of water? I paid less price in far better and lush places in St Moritz!
In a very traditional wooden space beautiful design with modern touches. The quality of the dishes was excellent. Service was usually ok, but a bit underoccupied and totally inconspicuous at times. We would not have had the opportunity to order more water or wine after the first portion.
