Here in Freiburg Vauban Freiburg's alternative and coveted residential district, the south is almost like the heart of Vauban. It is centrally but quiet as it is located in a traffic-smooth zone. There are plenty of sunny seating on the terrace and also on the inside the space is good. The south has a very good kitchen daily changing lunches and always a vegetarian dish. Hähnchengeschnetzelte is not available here with pommes but with chiligemüse and tabuleh. There is a wide range of bourgeois, Mediterranean, but also international dishes that are always freshly prepared. Only after a 4-time call and announcement that we were allowed to go without paying we could finally pay. All this after 45 minutes and a maximum of 75% of the place occupied. Oh yes and we were a group of 10 people, of which 6 children. 2 were completely overwhelmed and correspond to... Thanks for this unforgettable evening!!!!
The South is located in the Vauban district and was there the first real restaurant (at my time there) In summer, tables are out. Access by train. There's live music and people are nice. The food is super tasty, the prices are therefore a total escape! Especially recommended in summer.
