Sugarplum’s food is genuinely some of the best around. Every dish is beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, the service is extremely poor. For starters, ordering online is nearly impossible; their website always indicates they’re unavailable, even when they’re open. The same goes for UberEats. When you call, there’s a 50/50 chance no one will answer. If you decide to visit the restaurant, often there’s nobody at the counter, and you end up waiting for someone to notice you. While the staff is generally friendly and creates a pleasant atmosphere, the entire ordering experience is quite frustrating. I arrived at this restaurant at 6:37 PM on a Friday evening, just before it closed at 7 PM. The employees seemed to be cleaning up and putting food away already. I stood at the counter while two women chatted in the dining area. I soon realized that they were either managers or owners of the restaurant. One of them apologized to me, saying they were closed because they needed to get to an event and didn't want to be late. She added that if I came back tomorrow, I would receive a nice discount. This was supposed to be my first visit, so I was quite disappointed.
I walked in to order the food I asked the young lady. How long is it gonna take? She said 20 minutes, and I waited 40 minutes to get my food. I didn't mind. The young lady got up to fix my food. She did not wash her hands she did not put gloves on she did not have on anything covering her hair, I already paid so I got my Food, when I left the store and open the food there is a piece of hair? in the food. I threw the food out. You guys got be careful when you serve in the public. Mind you, the owner was sitting there asking me if someone Took my order.
The owner has No clue, she's walking around the restaurant and eating food with her hands. sells out of food quickly because they don't cook a lot of anything and food isn't good either The bathroom is not at all for a full size person can barely do a three sixty in a small place I Wouldn't Go Back to this spot in the wall. Not a place I'd recommend either......

It's a small restaurant that cooks delicious Southern style food no doubt!... small entertainment area you can have small parties there... Originally raised in Georgia, I spent about $95.00 at Sugarplums because I wanted a lot of their items. Well worth it go there. Spend some money and support now!! Oh, and the fried Whiting will make you start crying!!
Owner is very disrespectful and called my phone to complain about an issue between her and Uber. Kept saying she doesn’t understand my request about wanting extra cornbread and sadly I had to break it down. Customer service is lacking 100% and the unprofessionalism is just all over the place.
I read many bad and good reviews of SuggarPlums, but I needed to try for myself. It didn't disappoint the fried chicken and Mac and cheese hit the spot. The atmosphere and staff were very nice.Food: 5/5
We had a family gathering, and everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

It’s 1:46pm on a Saturday. They are not open even tho on google it says that they are. I drove a long way just for them to be closed with no note on the window
