It does however offer a very pleasant alternative to the Brauhaus as it offers a different menu still centered on typical German fare,...differently brewed beer from Urigers Dusseldorf Altstadt and a much quieter, less frenzied atmosphere you can actually hear yourself talk !! This restaurant is exactly how it is advertised. It is a local place in a very old house. I think it dates back to The lady who waited on us was very kind and patient. Her English was not bad as our German ha The food is all German; it was very good. It is very local and very casual; my stars are because they do what they do very well. The service is excellent. Beautiful traditional German restaurant. Large menu card with traditional German food . Food is very well prepared and quantity is more than OK. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Service was OK, no complaints about long waiting times. Better make a reservation in advance when...you plan to eat here because even on a working day it can be very crowded.
