The first time we went to Sukh Sagar I wanted the Masala Dosa and the eggplant dish and I was thrilled with them. The dosa comes out of the kitchen looking like a magical golden scroll: you expect it to contain the Ten Commandments, or something at least as important. And it eats as good as it looks: no disappointment lurks in its depths, thank heavens! The eggplant dish is glorious: discs of eggplant with a slight crusty texture, swathed in yoghurt and imli chutney, topped with little wiggles of crunchy sev: glorious. We also had Vada Sambar, a lovely dish with similar accompaniments to the dosa but substantial where the dosa is airy, and we SHOULD have stopped there, but Himself had ordered...

This is in particular to the samosa we get in Sukh Sagar, on casual basis we prefer takeaways from sukh sagar  and we all like Samosas (being an Indian you can`t hate samosas) today we got samosa in takeaway and it seemed to be big mistake. The samosa was not properly cooked and was burned with excess and bit stale oil, this is not one incident where we had bad food from Sukh Sagar. there are two cooks in the same place one who is bit thin as compared to another one  is terrible whenever we get food from him its worthless.I have even uploaded the pics of the Samosa From Sukh SagarAt the same time whenever we get food from another cook one is taller with beard and gives a...

My partner & I love this place so much. The staff are so friendly and the food is always delicious and great value. You can't go past the Burani Baigan (fried eggplant topped with tomato/onion jam, ginger yogurt and dates/tamarind chutney) for entree. My other half doesn't usually like eggplant but loves this. The lunch special is $10.50 for one of a selection of curries with rice & naan. We have enjoyed all of the curries we've had. Don't limit yourself to the curries in the lunch special because those that aren't included in it are excellent too, especially if you are sharing with other people (bigger serving, more variety). Try it for yourself - you won't regret it :)

Wanted to try some really nice authentic Indian Veg food and was recommended this place by the Concierge. Sadly, left totally disappointed as the quality of food was well below par and the standard of hygiene certainly needs to improve...BIG TIME!!! If you can get my drift? With ONLY 2 staff on duty they literally had to turn away over 20 guests during the 1 hour that we were there as they just could not handle the rush as apparently 1 Chef walked out 2 staff didn't show up to work. As a result every table was dirty and nobody to even clean the dishes as the Kitchen hand was serving us!!!Overall 4/10 Réservez une table maintenant

Apart from food, the staff was very sweet and genuine. I was visiting Adelaide and this was the first restaurant I tried other than cafes. It turned out to be the best experience. Those who are going, don't forget to try varieties of Dosas. The girl behind the counter is so sweet that probably you won't need desserts. LolMust go go go.

I have been to this place before, I get take-away every time I visit my son and his family in Adelaide. No flash decor etc... (you can sit down and eat, but in my case it has always been take-away!) but the food is absolutely divine! Mostly vegetarian, but I noticed a couple of non-veg items last time (I did not order non-veg)

The food is good but poor attitude by chef. Asked if an order was forgotten/delayed, as all other food had been brought to table 20mins prior, and chef was rude, defensive and made a bit of a scene for a completely understandable question. It's a shame coz the food is good but the attitude will prevent future visits.

A great place to find Indian street food. Never expected this but I was quite happy to find this here in Adelaide. Great stuff. We tried the masala dosa, pain Puri, Choley Puri and Dahi Puri. All were quite good. One thing they can improve on is the ambience. Rest all was great. Everyone should try it. Réservez une table maintenant
