arrived today and was happy that they could fit us in, we ordered our food and at £14.95 a dinner we asked if one of the lunches could have a extra roast and yorkshire as the person ordering dont eat any veg, the meat was nice and the cabbage was lovely but the rest was average. the gravy was disapointing and expected proper meaty gravy however it was a thin herby tasting sauce. when it come to pay they had the cheek to charge extra for the roast pot and yorkshire even tho that person had no vegetables. not the worst place i have eaten but certainly not the best and for the price i absolutley didnt think it was worth it.
It was in January when we were there for my mom and dad 60th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, back in September, we were remembering my mom after her passing. They put on an incredible spread. Heard what we wanted and went above and beyond. They bent over backward to accommodate. It's unbelievable in this day and age. Thank you so very much for helping my father and our family. This is my favorite place of all time! The food is incredible, the service is excellent, and there is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are absolute gems - highly recommended.
