We got the ham and cheese board, Bibb salad and smash burger. Food was quite good but cheese board overpriced. Service was not good. When we arrived at the hostess station she was on the phone and did not even acknowledge our arrival with eye contact or a head nod. We were seated and it was quite some time before anyone even acknowledged us. No one came back to check our food, replenish our water or offer us another round of drinks. I flagged someone down for the latter. Requested a dessert menu that never arrived. Then had to request our check be brought. Expect this service at a chain type of restaurant, not at a fine dining establishment.
My husband and I went for dinner when we were in DC for a conference. We shared a Caesar salad, which was delicious: a touch of bacon really brought out the dressing and Parmesan cheese. Maybe purists would be aghast, but it worked for us! We also shared the seafood carbonara: absolutely delicious! Plentiful clams, shrimp fish, creamy delicious sauce, and surprising crunches of trout roe to delight the culinary experience. We asked for bread and received Yorkshire pudding with very tasty butter. We got seconds with which to sop up extra sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with a very dry, very chill martini.
The restaurant has beautiful architecture and friendly, pleasant, professional staff but a surprising lack of seafood entrees for a restaurant named Estuary that bills itself as focused on fare from waters. There was only one seafood dish available at lunch and then a mishmash of other dishes, including a generic ham sandwich on bread cut from a larger loaf that could be sold at the CostCo deli counter. Fine in a pinch but underwhelming and not the elevated dining experience we were hoping for from a fairly expensive business lunch inside a luxury hotel.
eat and drink always grandiose. service is impeccable, ambiente is perfect. favourite place in dc. the personal is above the best friendly and super attentive. we had chef rita in this night. kiva always takes care of us who sit at our favorite place.

Chose Estuary due to late arrival early meeting and ease of staying at The Conrad. Not “hotel restaraunt” food….. party of 4 we all truly enjoyed our meals. Roasted oysters, grilled summer squash, skirt steak and rock fish all made for happy tummies!
Great service and excellent tasting food. Just wished the portions were a little more particularly for resturant week, but all in all a great food experience.
Second time celebrating our Anniversary dinner here and it did not disappoint. The food, servide and atmostphere are the best! Will be coming back soon.
Food, service and ambiance were all amazing. Staff paid close attention to detail and made excellent cocktail and meal recommendations.
