This place offers a delightful array of dishes with plenty of choices on every page of the menu! Every penny spent on the amazing sushi is definitely worth it. Our waitress was fantastic, providing smooth service while paying close attention to our needs. The appetizers were delicious, and the miso soup was thick and robust, served piping hot! The sushi rolls were carefully prepared and tightly rolled to keep all the flavors intact. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and simply heavenly! The food was outstanding, but we had an unfortunate experience overall. Our chef didn't come to our table for our 7 pm reservation until 8 pm, and that was only after we expressed our concerns. We were informed that only two chefs were on duty, each attending to just one party, which clearly contributed to the delay. If the management had been upfront about the situation from the start, we might have chosen to leave and dine elsewhere. What was most frustrating was that it took the chef SEVENTEEN minutes to prepare our meals, making the hour he spent with the previous table seem excessive. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This is hands down the best sushi in the area. We’ve tried all the nearby restaurants, and Sumo is by far the best. The rolls are generous and substantial—they don’t cut corners on quality. Everything is always fresh and delicious; we’ve never had a bad meal there, which is impressive since we order frequently. It’s a family-run business, and it's always nice to support local families! Don’t waste your time on other nearby options—they just can't compete. Sumo will always hold a special place in my heart!
Sumo is hands down the best in the area as far as sushi/sashimi/rolls are concerned. The quality of fish is exceptional for being a large scale family restaurant, and the service is excellent. Gina and Tina are absolute rock stars and make us feel as if we’re family on every visit. Give it a try, you’ll be back for more. PS, it’s BYOB! "I had a delightful festive hibachi experience. The chicken, steak, filet mignon, and scallops were all delicious. The tuna tartare appetizer was also quite good.
