I saw the other reviews, and decided it was worth the drive from Bobcaygeon to pick-up some takeout. It was very good and we will order here again. The restaurant was busy with eat-in and take out customers waiting. Be prepared to call multiple times to get through at dinner time, and to wait up to an hour for the food to be ready for pick-up. all signs that a restaurant is doing well and has good food. Upon arrival, I was notified that there would be an additional 5-10 minute wait because they ran out of lemon chicken, and she (owner, chef, both)? had to hand-batter a new batch, and it was almost ready, but not quite. We are from out of town and are in Fenelon fairly often. Decided to try this place after reading the reviews and were excited to try the food as we love Chinese. Unfortunately, they turned us away for dine in at 7:25pm on a Thursday. Their reason is that they are only cooking take out at the time. There were other people seated still eating. I guess they don't care much for the income generated from a family of four eating a full dinner in their restaurant. This has to be the most absolutely awful customer service I have ever experienced. Who turns away anyone at 7:25pm? We will never be back to see if they will let us in to eat and we will surely let everyone else know about the deplorable...
Meal was great as usual and prices are excellent. Ordered a beer and then advised waitress was not as cold as should be. She was very polite and told me will get owner out to discuss. He never showed up. Shock was when I got our bill and found out he was now charging $7 a bottle of Coors light. Mentioned to server and she stated he did not want to put up food prices so upped the beer prices. Drink water or pop.
The chicken with vegetable dish had far too many large chunks of onion and green pepper. It looked like half a large onion had gone into the dish. The onion looked so old that it made me wonder if they used someone's leftovers in my order. The fact that it only contained the odd little piece of carrot left me with the same feeling. At $9.95 it was definitely a bad decision. It was a take-out order. Réservez une table maintenant
