On Saturday, June 17th, eight of us went to this restaurant for drinks. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our drinks were flat and when we asked for them to be replaced, we were met with abuse and our drinks were slammed down in front of us. The excuse given was that the bartender had been working since 9 o'clock that morning. If long shifts are not suitable for them, then they should not be working them. One member of our group was even insulted and told that the bartender had 6 years of experience, which pales in comparison to our combined 30+ years. We would like to thank the young lady who gave us a refund and apologized for the bartender's behavior.
I ordered two Sunday dinners from Uber (one meat, one vegetarian) and they arrived promptly. However, I was disappointed to find two long hairs in one of the meals, which put me off the rest of the meal. It was definitely not my own hair! Apart from this, I was not satisfied with either of the meals. The cauliflower cheese was just a clump of cheese with a small piece of cauliflower, and the vegetarian gravy was like jelly. I also ordered an additional tray of stuffing, but it was unclear if it was vegetarian or not. When it arrived, the stuffing was very strange and tasted like sausage. Overall, I was not impressed and will not be ordering from here again.
Went into this crowded pub after my eldest Son had completed the GNR. It had started to rain and so the world and its friend rushed in al wanting something to eat and drink. With trepidation I approached the crowded bar and was approached by a yung lady, smiling showing no signs of stress at all. I was swiftly served with a round if drinks and gave my food order. In no more than 15 mins (possibly less) the food was delivered to my table...piping hot...lots of it and very good quality at a very reasonable price. Thank you New Sundial Pub...very enjoyable afternoon even if the lights did keep on going out due to the extremely heavy rain!
Had a look at the Menu and saw Toaties, thought sounds good selected Gluten Free 3 cheese Toastie with onion, picture below is what I got . Thought toastie was bread toasted? My partner had same and when it arrived it looked same as mine. When i asked I was told his wasn't gluten free but I couldn't tell the difference ? The one that is open was to show the 3 cheese filling and the other other is my partners toastie . This cost 22 quid with coffee

Had lunch with my grandchildren during the middle of the week. Unfortunately, the quality of this restaurant has declined since our last visit. The table was dirty and sticky. We ordered our food from the bar and despite it being quiet, it took a long time to be served. The bar meal was pricey and below average, only warm when it arrived. There are plenty of other dining options in the area, so I would recommend avoiding this place.
Went for lunch with my family. We've been staying up here after the GNR. Food took over 40 minutes to arrive which was strange as the pub was almost empty. When it did arrive, it was cold and way overpriced for what we got. The table was sticky and the toilet floor was the same. When we apprtoached staff, they didn't want to know. We'll be up here for the GNR next year but won't be coming here. Avoid at all costs!
We’d been to a few of mr Hoppers, grown up quizzes which had taken place downstairs in the new sundial. Tonight before he went to Disneyland Paris to work, the upstairs function room was full to say goodbye. Apart from the Disney based quiz, free snacks there was also bingo and play your cards right. Enjoyable evening, nowhere near winning but a good night. Also in a prime seaside slot too see the blue moon
The photo says it all! Management did not want to know when I complained. Kept saying I got everything I 'd paid for. Look at the photo. Would you pay over £600 for that? I think not. I even asked to speak to the owner but the manager refused to do that saying she had dealt with the issue

Been here loads of times for Sunday lunch but this was the worst we have ever had. The beef was tough and grisly and definitely not up to the usual standard. Also first time all 3 of us left anything on the plate!
Not good. Waited 35min for food.and wish we hadn't bothered. Ugh Did get a sorry but when you see later arrivals getting their meals before you it gets rather annoying. Wouldn't recommend to anyone
