Sung 's has long been a favorite destination for my grandson for birthdays and just because dinners. Mainly for it 's make your own sundae bar. Chocolate sprinkles and strawberry syrup can win over the strongest resolve. However time had not been kind and the restaurant fell into serious disrepair. Food quality suffered as well, until even awesome soft serve could no longer merit a visit. Recent extensive renovations including all new steam tables for the buffet and spacious upstairs washroom facilities made for a welcome surprise on a recent by request bday lunch for the young fellow 's 10 th. We went to Sungs Chinese Restaurant shortly after they re-opened after extensive renovations. Definitely an improvement! Very clean looking, (always important to us where ever we eat out) and has had major improvements such as the restroom is now upstairs on the main level instead of having to go downstairs. The smorgasbord has changed a bit, was very tasty with a wide variety of items available including Chinese food, small salad bar and desert bar. Service was very prompt and pleasant. Definitely will return!
Buffet experience at 6 PM on a Saturday. Wonton soup had flavorful broth and wontons, but was tepid.Rice was OK, but had crunchy bits from being in table pan too long.Mixed greens were good, as were the chicken kabobs. Chicken wings were meaty, but greasy. Dry ribs were meaty, but over done. Chicken in black bean sauce was good.All the buffet items I tried were lukewarm.I will try all other Chinese food establishments before coming back.Service was very good and pleasant.
This place has been around for a long time, the best by far, I have tried all the other Chinese places in town, because there some new places that we had to try, so we tried, and vowed never to return again, so for the past 12 +years Sung's has been our favourite place for Chinese food, now they have redone the restaurant, nice atmosphere, and best of all the same owners
Nice mix of food. Insane amount of toppings for the ice cream, which was pretty neat. Food was all warm and fresh, but most of it was mislabeled. Thankfully I'm not allergic to anything. Service was good for the most part, kept clearing the table of empty plates, but always took forever to get my water filled up. Food was generally a bit salty though.
Best food ever. Quality and service are impeccable. I had a lot of chinese food in my life and this place just blow my mind! I ordered the combo for two and they accomodate me( I dont eat red meat) without any extra fee. They have real chicken. No process food. It felt healthy and not just carbs and fat. I highly recommand.
Sungs use to be the place to go but as the years pass, it keeps getting worse and worse. It's an acceptable place to go but it never tastes fresh, even when it's just brought out which goes to show the poor quality of food. The service is good, they're fast with the drinks and such.
