We come here quite often for breakfast, which I would rate as “very good” 4 stars. They have some nice options for eggs Benedict, they recently took the chicken ham and Swiss Benedict off the menu, which is too bad because it was my favourite. Decent sized portions, and friendly service. We went there today for lunch for the first time. I had the club sandwich with the daily soup, which was Italian wedding today. Friendly service, good sized portions. I only gave 3 stars because the soup was obviously watered down, and was asked after I had already started eating the sandwich if I wanted mayo for it.. as it didn’t come with it. We were on our way to Toronto for a play and decided to have a larger breakfast before heading to our matinee. I ordered the eggs benedict and my husband an omelet. The restaurant was not busy...at all...yet my home fries were not hot ...and neither was the hollandaise on the eggs. I realize this does have a tendency to cool off fast ..but it had no warmth to it at all ! The eggs were supposed to be medium but the whites were runny. My husband thought his omelet was okay...although nothing special. At least it was hot ...as well as his home fries. My family and I went to celebrate Father's Day with a late breakfast at this restaurant. It was very busy, with only one other couple ahead of us in line. Despite there being empty tables available, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The server informed us that there was a half-hour wait for our food once we were finally seated. After 45 minutes, our breakfast arrived, but it was mistakenly given to the next table. It took an additional 15 minutes for our correct meals to be brought out. Although the food was delicious and satisfying after our long wait, we were disappointed that no adjustment was made for the mix-up. After finishing our appointment at the eye clinic early, we decided to have breakfast before heading home. We went to a restaurant on Hwy. #8 that we like, which has plenty of free parking in front. We arrived around 9:20 a.m. and only two other customers were there. We were seated in a booth immediately. Carole ordered tea with honey, pea meal bacon with scrambled eggs, homefries, and wheat toast. I had coffee and the Combo breakfast, which included 2 over-easy eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausages, homefries, and wheat toast. Our total bill was under $25.00 with a tip. We didn't feel like making our own breakfast decided to have it out somewhere. After checking Google for breakfast restaurants in our area, we narrowed it down to Sunnyside Grill. To our surprise, seniors receive a 20% discount each Monday! My wife had camomile tea the peameal breakfast with scrambled egss.....her favourite egg dish. I had coffee with my favourite egg dish, eggs benedict, although the restaurant calls it Poached Eggs Hollandaise. The dishes come with thick toast lots of homefries. Carole and I had originally planned to go to Costco in Stoney Creek that morning, but instead we decided to have breakfast at one of our favorite breakfast spots. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly and given menus. Carole ordered her go-to breakfast of scrambled eggs, peameal bacon, homefries, brown toast, and tea with honey. She loved it. I opted for my usual eggs Benedict, although they were called poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and coffee on the menu. Nonetheless, it was delicious. We left the restaurant with full stomachs and smiles on our faces, ready to tackle our shopping at Costco.
I was working nearby and ordered some lunch from here with my SkipTheDishes app. I just got a Sandwich and a smoothie. The sandwich was alright, the grilled potatoes I had as a side were a little bland. My smoothie wasn't very smooth, there were still huge chunks of ice in it, it wasn't blended enough. It wasn't bad, but I can't say it made a good enough impression to make me try there again.
Came to sunny side a little hung over lol but had an amazing experience, my server Tina was awesome she had an outside of the box personality.
