wow what has happened to this place!? for the last few years ive been coming weekly the place was great, The food was like no other all the staff was friendly and polite even in 30 degree heat with huge cues waiting for food. BUT for the last, lets say 3 months its really gone downhill! I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! I pre-ordered my meal four hours in advance to ensure everything would be available, but I was informed that the receipt would arrive only ten minutes before my scheduled time, by which point most items were sold out. I was told I needed to update my order, which I did, only to have it canceled. When I called the restaurant, I was told that my order hadn’t gone through at all! I was furious and ended up having to reorder through the Uber app, picking from whatever was still available. I visited this kitchen on the basis of good reviews, and I can recommend it for myself. The food was fresh and excellently prepared. Both the chicken and the beef were fantastically prepared, falling apart in the mouth. The rice was just the way I personally like it. The interior space was not so welcoming (clean). Also, some of the older photos show seating and there is no seating and only takeaway is working at the moment. This is definitely one of the best Caribbean restaurants I've been to, if not the best! Make sure to arrive a bit early, as the wait times can be quite long. The food has a comforting, homemade taste, as if your grandmother is sharing her best recipes, packed with genuine, authentic flavors and perfectly cooked meat! The dumplings are also a must-try; you can't enjoy the meal without them! It's like having a jam roly-poly without the cream—it just doesn't work!
Portion sizes are horrendously small!! Prices are so high. You can get 2 person meals from elsewhere. Used to be a good shop. Jerk chicken small size chicken, very dry inside. Not slow cooked like years before. Customer service has gone so down hill. What’s wrong with you guys. Serving with angry faces. Prices and portion sizes are the worst thing about this place.
