I had to go to the DMV nearby early in the morning so I was definitely going to treat myself to a greasy breakfast afterwards. That's when I found Sunshine Grill Deli. I placed an order via Seamless for The Hog (pork roll, hash brown patty, egg and cheese) and it was ready for pickup before the quoted time. It was a 45 minute drive back home but it held up pretty well, and wasn't something a toaster oven couldn't fix. I discovered this hidden gem while searching for breakfast spots near our hotel. Right from the start, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and treated to some surprisingly good coffee (which is a rarity for me, as I'm usually not a fan of diner coffee). I ordered a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, while my friend opted for a short stack of pancakes. Small Edison gem. You will ride right by it sitting on the corner bright yellow small building. Off street parking can get fill quickly if you come at the wrong time. I reluctantly downgrade my rating to 4 stars because lately I've noticed a trend of my order notes either not being read or disregarded. I work from home and always place my orders on their website for convenience and speed on pickup. 3 out of 5 of my most recent visits had issues that relate to specific instructions not being adhered to. If I ask for cheddar cheese on a sandwich they give me American. If I say no marinara on sandwich, I still get it. When I ordered onion rings today they gave me waffle fries instead (but no heads up). Such a cute little place! The server was very sweet and friendly. She provided amazing service! We got the Greek omelette with turkey bacon and the hangover burger. The omelette was a little watery but it was delicious, too bad the turkey bacon was burnt to a crisp so I didn't really get to enjoy it. The hangover was interesting made with pork rolls and the sunny side egg made it all the better. Overall the food was good and the service was spot on. I would definitely recommend this place.
I absolutely love this place! It’s perfect for brunch. The staff always greets me with a warm welcome and a smile; they genuinely seem eager and happy to assist. The cozy atmosphere of the building makes me feel right at home, and as a customer, I feel truly appreciated. I ordered the French toast with bacon, and while it was a bit on the pricey side, it was incredibly delicious and definitely worth it. My partner had hash browns as part of their meal.
We were in the area 4 days and went here twice it was so good!!! First day we got breakfast items very generous portions and tasty! 2nd time was for lunch. Tuna wrap and a turkey bacon wrap, again very impressed. If you order online, you get 10% off. We paid cash both times and they have another 10% off for that! Outstanding service and incredible food! We dropped by here the morning after a concert, and the food was simply fantastic. Although it's a small venue with limited seating, we enjoyed dining outside in the sunshine, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely return when we're in the area again! I only get to experience this place once a year around this time due to me having to work a huge convention that takes place maybe 6 min from Sunshine Grill. I absolutely love getting breakfast from this place before I walk into the convention center. My fav thing is that French toast sandwich. OMG!!!! It's yummy.
