I was so disappointed with my meal last night. I am a regular and always order the same combo #23: chili relleno, enchilada and ground beef taco. First I noticed the taco and beef enchilada ground beef meat had big chucks of potato which I never remember it having ever; must be a way of using less meat. The taco shell was soggy from bring placed on the relleno and enchillada sauce; the taco should be served on separate plate like a lot of mexican restaurants do. The Chili relleno cheese was not melted and semi cold inside. They remade my meal and the supervisor assured me it would be done properly. It came out with the relleno worse than the first time. We hadn't visited this place since moving out of state, but we returned for a visit and made sure to stop by for lunch. It was just as fantastic as we remembered. The portions are generous, the food is served hot, and the flavors are outstanding. Both the servers and the manager were friendly and enjoyable to talk to. We truly wish there was a Super Mex where we currently live. Regarding parking, it's located near a shopping mall, so there’s plenty of parking available.
However, when my order arrived, it was nothing like what I had requested, and I was very disappointed. If they were too tired to fulfill orders properly that evening, they should have communicated that they were no longer taking orders for the night. Honestly, I usually love Super Mex and frequent the location on Atlantic Blvd, but this time my order felt carelessly prepared, and it left me unsatisfied.
I’d like to start with how delicious the food was that I had delivered. I choose the 3 item combo (Shredded beef taco, ground beef taco and chilie rellano omelette style, rice and beans). Between the two beef tacos, the ground beef was the best.

I usually love Super mex, but this location is awful. Overpriced, undercooked cheese and burnt in some spots. Never ordering from this location again!! Recommend the one on Atlantic Blvd in North Long Beach.
Use to be really good, average at best now? just tried it again it was terrible way over priced, Cadillac margaritas come In small cocktail glass no alcohol and 15 dollars I won't be back.
I visited family who recommended this restaurant, and as a fan of Mexican cuisine, I was excited to try it. Our server, Robert, was fantastic! We will definitely return!
Price of food has gone up, quality and size of food has gone down, its hard to justify a mediocre resteraunt at those prices in California.
