The supreme shop is under new management I've heard people asking where is the old manager, and the younger guy saying his still there. Who are they fooling? This was once one of the best chip shops in Sydenham and when the manager did go away the shop still kept up to top standard who are they kidding its gone downhill, I've been there on several occasions no way am I going back. I like my chips freshly fried and to be told they've just taken them out, You would be still standing in the same spot if you wanted to freshly fried chips They were not doing it. And that's not the first time that happened. I could not believe it the portion reduced in size, there were plenty of chips end and a few long chips in between which ended up in the bin, this was meant to be fresh it was just warm tough greasy and disgusting in taste what oil are they using?. The second time I went with a friend she insists on buying me a portion of chips I told her to get one to share for both of us. there was a lot lot of sharp tough small ends of chips and greasy she was moaning too inappropriate to put down. To put it lightly the bag of chips went in the street bin.
These people on at least 2 occasions overcharged a young autistic man for 4 fish cakes no chips . They charged 3.00 each 12.00 for 4 . And when he paid by card they told him the transaction had not gone through and he should pay by cash which he did .when checking his bank we discovered he had also been charged on his card So infact was charged on two occasions 24.00 for 4 fishcakes so in total 48.00 for 8 fishcakes, the actual price per fishcake is 1.60 . It's terrible to RIP anyone off but To do it To a vunerable person is discusting. I have proof and will be informing trading standards the council and the police. DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL PLACE THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE AS WELL
Tried the fish and chip shop on the recent reviews and glad we did. Would not have picked it from the outside view so don’t let this out you off. It is what it is, a fish and chip shop. But it is very clean and the staff very friendly. Chips are lovely and sausage/fish tasty.
