Working in Flushing Queens I was a little skeptical getting Korean food anywhere else, but I'm glad I did. This place is tucked in a very busy shopping plaza but should not be over looked! The food I had today was so tasty, a great value, and the portionswere generous. We started with an order of 10 wings. Honestly, I was expecting crispy crunchy Korean fried chicken but that'snot these wings. These wings were more on the traditional wings side but the sauce was unreal. It was a sweet and savory almostmango tasting sauce. The chicken itself was very tender and the flavor was great. We ask for a high chair and the waiter said very loudly that they don't have high chair. The other lady just said just move the table closer. They later bring a booster and my 2 year old manage with the height. We ask for a soup noodle for a baby and theysuggest the beef one. Once it arrived, see the picture , is more like beef soup with a few clear noodles. Not a meal but a soup.The tofu pot , see pic, was all crushed. First time seeing this in a Korean restaurant. They only talk to the Koreans and putsmile on. But when serving non Koreans, they have other tones and just want you to get out.
This was our first visit to Hot Bibimbap and we found it to be delicious. On our second visit, we tried Haemul Sundubu Jjigae and it was also delicious. The sides were fantastic, although the chicken wings were a bit too sweet for our liking. We weren't big fans of the Kimchi soup as it wasn't the taste we were expecting. Our waiter was always very helpful and had a good sense of humor.
I ordered the tofu stew with a water base, making sure to specify vegan with no meat or eggs. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I can't wait to return. You can also request the bibimbap without meat or eggs. Be sure to check with the staff about the kimchi and other side dishes to confirm if they are vegan or not.

Nice local place for Korean food. Generous portions for the price, and the accompaniments are very authentic. Loved the kimchi. They also have a Lunch Specials menu. Not sure if there are any other Korean restaurants nearby, so nothing for comparison. 4.5 stars would be appropriate
Found an amazing Korean restaurant- Surasang Korean restaurant. The owners were great hosts. It was amazing Korean food. The flavors I didn't taste since I lived in the Korean city in Los Angeles. I highly recommend this place.
great delicious food and excellent friendly service. lots of nice things on menu. bbq chicken wings were awesome along with noodles and dumplings. highly recommend the bbq thin short ribs side of rice with beer.
Such a great Korean spot! The service was excellent and they explained what we ordered and what came with it. All the food was delicious but I wish the chicken was crisper.

Go there for each special occasion and I'm never disappointed, great food and great hosts. They are such nice people and treat you like family. Highly recommend
First time visiting this place, food and service good. Not much choice but it's still good.
