It was my best friends birthday and we wanted to dine somewhere we had never been. Im glad we chose this spot. The host was professional and accommodating; i particularly loved her blue n black hair. Our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu, hospitable and quick on her feet. (A young black lady whose name begins with D) I order the shrimp grits. Bestie ordered the french toast. Yall!! When u go here u gotta try these dishes... soo good! Note: I don't usually eat French toast because i dont care for the soggy, doughy middle. This french toast is different. Well well well here I go again eating and reviewing! The shrimp and grits here are absolutely delicious... I almost had a tear come down but my momma didn't raise no.... well can't say that in this climate... geez! But I'm so mad the portions not bigger because I'm greedy and cheeky... yeah yeah I can buy another one buuuut nope I want it to come with a plate and a half... The atmosphere is cool, the service was nice, and it was clean. I didn't get anything else but I'm soooo going back to see what else I can fall in love with.

Have Covid vax card or PRC on hand before coming here. The Costa Rican breakfast and lemonade caught my eye. I asked for a side of chorizo and beans with my order. Definitely a winner. The lemonade had a good balance between tart and sweet. The Pico is on point, but order an extra side of it because the splash placed on top was just a teaser. Ima be here for 3 more weeks and I'm definitely coming back for some tummy luvin good food.

The atmosphere here is friendly and fun, and the staff is fantastic. You can't beat the breakfast options! They serve the best French toast and a delicious biscuit sandwich, along with fresh-squeezed juices. This place is perfect for a neighborhood spot to visit often and to take out-of-towners. OMG! Everything including the service was exceptional! We ate various dishes and I highly recommend the everything bagel with lox and the French toast...Yummy! The serving staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to Surrey's. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The mushroom gravy is fantastic, and the corn beef hash was good quality and tasty. It has a very cool 'New Orleans ' vibe which was very cool. The location was very close to where I was staying which was nice too.

Fantastic service, incredibly delicious food, plenty of vegetarian choices, as well as hearty and lighter options. The atmosphere is cozy, and the grits are outstanding. Thank you!
