This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The restaurant is run by an authentic Japanse and it shows. Everything has been thought out to the last detaill, from assuring customers fish is safe to information about ingredients and additives used but also the service is truly Japanse: very polite. The restaurant is also very flexible to customers wanting other things not on the menu: For example sashimi is not a fixed item but it is possible to order for example dorade, salmon and tuna as a moriawase. The dishes are all made fresh and by hand. The rice within the sushi is the right temperature (and not too cold) and the fish is fresh and top quality. I was suprised to find such an excellent l...

Friendly and authentic food and service by Japanese chef. Reliable top quality Sushi. Ignore the reviews regarding the make up of the location. As it should be the food is important. That is just perfect. Only a few place I know are better but then a multiple of the price. Best value for money ever - real affordable. Freshly prepaired and reasonably served by the chef. You can clearly tell that conviction goes in to his work.come and visit - also from far it is worth the trip.

Sushi Bar pirates has been recently opened in the Koblenz area. Unlike most 'japanese' restaurants in Koblenz and indeed in the region, it is actually staffed, owned and run by a Japanese husband and wife team. From atmosphere, the restaurant has been established in what was a bar, and still has the original bar and even bowling alley in the cellar. The restaurant is however very modern / chique in appearance which suits the cuisine very well.We visited on a Sunday night, and we tried several of the recommended sushi platters on the Menu. The fish is of excellent quality and as good as we've eaten even in Duesseldorf or Frankfurt. We also had edamame as a starter, and miso soup with our meals....

We wanted to spend part of our Easter week-end visiting Koblenz and Trier and since we had our sushi loving kids with us (6 and 10), we decided to try this restaurant to please them. The owner is Japanese and despite our non-existant level of Japanese and very poor level of German, he was extremely nice and welcoming. He made sure all was perfect and took very good care of us. The meal was just great, super fresh and delicious, the green tea ice cream is lovely and at the end, right before we left, we even got a present: an opera song by Mr. Sumida himself! We visited many castles and saw great things during that week-end, but the kids keep repeating that their favorites things were the Play...

My partner and I walked for half an hour to get to this place from our hotel, and it was well worth it. It must be off-peak, because there weren't many people there at all. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, who was able to accommodate for my shellfish allergy despite having very limited English. He spoiled us with extra food (assuming because it was a slow night) and made us feel very special. The sushi was fresh and tasty- and I am only recently on the sushi bandwagon. All up we spent about 25€ between two people, including almost too much sushi and a few soft drinks. So cheap and good, I would recommend this to anyone looking for something other than another expensive schnitzel d...

Were there for the first time yesterday, usually go to Düsseldorf to the Japanese neighborhood to eat authentic Japanese dishes. However, this restaurant is a very good alternative. The rams were very tasty and also the appetizers I found great. The ambience is in fact an old pub, which has not disturbed me personally, it is simply furnished, but it was more about food than the establishment. Of particular note is definitely the service, the service and also the boss were very friendly and accommodating, I don't know when I last experienced that. Therefore, I can recommend this restaurant. fastening

I had stopped going to this restaurant for a bit and I paid a visit last week. It is the same old story. They are not able to plan in the customers and serve them on time. I waited 30 minutes for a take-away sushi costing over 50 Euros which I had ordered in advance and which should have been ready waiting for me at the appointed time. Instead I was sitting around in the restaurant waiting twiddling my tums. That is worth a two star.

Very delicious food! Both the sushi (e.g. I can highly recommend Unagi -sweet water aal) and the frames (e.g. Tonkotsu based on pig broth). In addition, a very friendly/hearty service. Here you get quality! In order not to wait too long for the dishes, it is recommended to mention its pre-order at the reservation table. Parking is a bit difficult, so I recommend to schedule some time here.

Very friendly service, the cook even brought the food to the table. A very inconspicuous restaurant, but the visit is worth it. With regard to the price (for ramen), it is even slightly cheaper than in Bonn, Cologne or Düsseldorf. Very recommended!
