Very disappointing- went to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was very noisy, service so slow we cancelled part of our order after waiting nearly 2 hours. The food we had was ok but entree type foods were delivered at the same time as the prawn fried rice and the chicken we'd ordered to go with the rice arrived 45 mins later. When the other 3 guests had finished their meals I was still waiting for my $16 sushi roll. We asked twice about it and it was "on it's way" - the third time I asked was it really on its way because if it wasn't made I would cancel and eat elsewhere... at least the waitress was truthful and advised it was yet to be made. We anxiously awaiting the opening of an exciting new Japanese in Narrabeen but was disappointed. We were left waiting in the doorway for 5 minutes before being acknowledged while staff stood around. The service went downhill from there. We had to approach staff to ask them to take our order.The tables are built for no one over 5f6 and poorly designed leaving a **** knee. The food however was very nice - that's what we got of it - overpriced and small servings even for Japanese. Can't see myself going back anytime soon.
Having visited Japan a number of times I'm always willing to try new places The family visit to Nara was a great success from the time we walked in to the time we walked out Atmosphete was good, you could have been in Shinjuku Tried a wide variety of dishes suggested by the chef and they were all well presented, well textured and very tasty The sashimi was extremely fresh. The Wagyu beef was one of the favourites Japanese beer on tap was excellent Well worth the drive to Narrabeen, we will return
I was not a fan of Japanese cuisine, however tried Nara for the first time and I was amazed at how wonderful the food was - so fresh and beautifully presented.The chef came and chatted to us and all of the staff were so friendly.We will definitely go back!

Wow I have hunted for a decent Japanese restaurant on the Northern Beaches for about 20 year and my prayers have now been answered. Great fresh food, nice decor and friendly staff. Far exceeded my expectations.
I have visited this restaurant several times and have always been very pleased with the food and service. Having lived in Japan many years I was pleased to find a local Japanese restaurant that was authentic.
This restaurant has just recently opened and we have dined there twice and we will visit again soon. The food is very good and the service is attentive. The decor and atmosphere is also very good
The food was good, but the service was very slow. The service certainly hasn't improved on Sushi Waka. I hadn't eaten my meal before my family's had even been served.

What a pleasant surprise! Narrabeen is coming of age! Sensational! Looking forward to beers at happy hour and I don't even drink beer
We come here every week. The food is very good, run by a couple of Japanese chefs. Definitely recommend it
