I took my mom here for lunch, and we felt completely ripped off! Our first order was only partially filled, with several items either missing or significantly reduced in quantity. Hoping to satisfy our hunger, we decided to place a second order, opting for some simple starchy dishes: a plate of fried rice and a bowl of udon soup. Oh my goodness! Sushi Kan (Innes Road), were you punishing us for ordering again? That plate of fried rice had barely two spoonfuls on it, and the bowl of udon soup was nothing but a small bowl of salty liquid with just four tiny udon noodles. This is our place to go when I visit Ottawa. Their restaurant is state of the art with their electronic servers. I enjoyed the experience of the little robot very much my first visit but I have returned several times because of the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food and the quick meal preparation. I love seeing new patrons deal with the electronics the first time and it's always nice to see people smiling at the antics of the little servers. Not to take away from the human servers who take drink orders, clear tables and are helping customers make it a positive experience. Definitely customer service is a priority. Be Aware! We were there for super a party of 5 we were seated, we understand a party of 5 they add 15 tip to bill. The 5 person canceledso we are 4 for super, told the waiter no problem he said food was so so! and definitely not hot or even warm. They brought are bills 2 separate ones! they added 15 gratuity tip I asked why did you add the tip to are bill and he said because you were seated at a bigger table. And we were served 80 by the robotic waiter. So be aware..
We had previously been to the Merivale location, but this was our first visit to the East End. The restaurant exceeded our expectations! There was plenty of seating indoors, and we were even served by a robot waiter—an experience we had never encountered before! The food was just as delicious, if not better, than what we had at Merivale. We will definitely be coming back!
I ordered at their counter to go out. After driving 40 minutes and arriving home. I noticed that some products were missing. I contacted the restaurant and they only offered to give me a credit for next time even though I'm not in their area. it is unacceptable!! I do not recommend this restaurant. there are several other Sushi restaurants that don't make a mistake!!
I've visited this restaurant several times because the food is consistently fresh. The service can be a bit slow, whether the food is delivered by a super cool robot or by staff. I'm often prepared for some items from my order to not arrive at my table, as I suspect someone else might have received them. However, as I mentioned, the food is really good!
The small robots that deliver food to the table are a huge favorite among kids! The food is consistently served quickly and is delicious and well-prepared. The only downside is that they don't accept Interac payments, so unless you're paying with a credit card, make sure to bring cash!
